Inequality and poverty - Coggle Diagram

- - - - Norway has its own government organ which addresses needs for gender equality, the SSB (Statistisk sentralbyra, which translates to Statistics Norway.)
        
        The SSB (2013) published "in Norway 36 per cent of the representatives in the Legislature are women. In the European Union only Germany has a figure above 30 per cent."
        
        This leads to think that Norway, compared to other Western countries, has a high rate of female political representatives, which in turn account to a relatively high equality.
    - - Being a social-democratic country, the population invests trust and confidence in an egalitarian society. As stated by The Norwegian Tax Administration (2020) the country has an income tax rate of 22%, while in the US, for example, it may gravitate to about 12% and 10%, depending on the living conditions.
      - The government provides a welfare system and major reforms which allow for a great quality of living.
    - - It must be noted that immigrants, who, according to the SSB (2018) formed about 14.2% of the population, do not usually receive the same treatment, as they cannot access education and public services as easily.
        
        Norway has to work on this sector, due to the latent inequality between Norwegian and refugees.
        
        Immigrants cannot use the studies they acquired in their respective countries, as most organizations do not recognize the as valid.
  - - - It has a higher economic growth than the rest of the EU according to the World Bank.
      - It has a very low Interest rate (0.6%) than average according to the OECD.
      - Despite this, Norway has a very high household deb, higher than average.
      - According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) ithe Norweigean government has a big budget for the next economic slow down.
