Religion in Puritan lives
Believed that God had created a unique agreement with them.
Everyone was expected to live within guidelines of sorts.
Defying Puritans means defying God, and losing any recognition or work put into the religion.
Any and all sin was believed to be punished
You had to be religious to be a part of a Puritan community.
Members of the Puritans were willing to essentially sacrifice others if they are deemed "witches" or unnatural, holding no actual evidence other than the will of God.
Life was based upon religion

Important Dates for the Puritans
1691: New charter weakens religious prominence, weakens the abilities of the Puritans.
1692: Witchcraft trials take place in Salem, MA
1688: Quakers voice opposition to slavery.
1676: The Puritans prevail in King Philips' war, ending Native American Resistance in the colonies.
1630: Around 1,000 Puritans come together to form Massachusetts Bay Colony.
