submit to chain of command for review. allows supervisors the opportunity to make changes, and keeps them in the loop
venue selection helps meet needs like sizing, seating, and environment, test running the presentation in the environment is also helpful. coordinating to make sure it has the proper equipment is also important

use to support information not replace it. assists the audience in gaining a better understanding of material

- Don't indent more than twice
makes a slide look busy. record sub-points into the notes section and make it a talking point during the presentation thus removing extra information from the slide
- Never let bulleted statement wrap
attempt to make each bullet part of its own line. wrapping my lead to misinterpretation of the bullet if half the statement ends up on the next line

- Sitting up straight when seated (no rocking or slouching)
- speaking clearly and loudly (not monotone)
