Intro
These attitudes prevent some from enjoying the greatest freedom they could ever have - a relationship with Jehovah Some may feel that even learning about him will restrict them in some way. For others raised in the truth they put off committing themselves to Jehovah our of fear of a loss of freedom.

What can help if you have feelings like this?

Have you noticed that we live in a world that has commitment issues? What do I mean. Have you noticed how little value people but on relationships, friendships, marriages for example. People hold back from getting married because they are afraid of commiting to a long term relationship.
Another challenge in society is that it is very selfish. It is all about me!

Why would a slave want to stay with master?
What do we see?
Slave wanting to stay with his master? Did this slave view his relationship as negative or something brought him benefits?
Why?
I love my master.
LOVE = Relationship
Appreciates his relationship. What does that tell you about the life the slave had for last 7 years? Oppresiive? Unfair? Restrictive> No such a good relationship that voluntarily signs up to it for life

Agreement between a slave and a master, not situation you would usually asssociate with freedom or something that someone would willingly sign up for.
Whats the lesson for us regarding our discussion of dedication to Jehovah?
What do I know about the Master, What kind of person is he?
What does he promise for the future? When I look at others who have a close relationship with the master how do they seem? Happy? Restricted? Will they reassure you that they have the best life ever?
Do you seek protection, friendship and care
In summary what have we seen? Dedication to Jehovah is not something to fear. Committing yourself to Jehovah is the best thing you could ever do. Just as a slave with a loving master could voluntarily choose to stay with his master you can to. By doing so he willl look after you, provide and protect you and you will develop the best friendship any human can get - an eternal one with your loving father Jehovah. What do we need to do to get these benefits? Dedicate ourselves to Jehoah and show that we live by those four powerful words: "I love my master"
