        inhibits serotonin reuptake, it also inhibits the reuptake of Norepinephrine and Dopamine In the prefrontal cortex and blocking the 5HT2C receptors, which then increases the levels of these neurotransmitters in that area of the brain
        
        It exerts it's therapeutic effect by inhibiting the presynaptic reuptake of the neurotransmitter serotonin.2 As a result, levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) are increased in various parts of the brain
