Before leaving the island, Circe tells Odysseus that he must go to the underworld first before returning to Ithaca. There he talked with may ghosts
After fleeing the man eating giants, Odysseus and his men end up at the home of the goddess Circe. She turns his crew into pigs. Hermes helps Odysseus and shows him how to defeat her
After Odysseus’s men open the bag when he is sleeping and they are blown off course. They ended up in the land of the laestygonians who were man eating giants
