Assessment

The five students need to know not only the ten Chinese words, but also their anonyms. The teacher will divide the five students into two groups. Then the teacher will send them ten anonyms flash cards with pictures and Chinese words to the students. They need to match the anonyms card with the ten Chinese words we learned today.

After matching the words, the students need to go to the Edpuzzle to watch the video and answer the questions related to the anonyms words.


The teacher will observe the group activity and note their performance.

Edpuzzle report will help the teacher monitor the student's performance.

A new quiz will be use to tested how the five students leaning results.

Use Edpuzzle video to ask them questions about the Chinese words, such as "in this situation, which word can correctly describe the person?"

The teacher will send ten flask cards with Chinese words only to each of the 6 pair groups (two students in a group). one student in the group describe the Chinese words in English, and another student guess what the word is. Then they changes the roles to continue the game, until they guess the ten words all correctly.

The teacher will use Edpuzzle to monitor the 12 students' performance.

Two peers in the group will monitor their performance by guessing the ten words correctly.

Another quiz will be used to test their learning results about the ten Chinese words.

Strategies for three students who are struggling in English language when studying Chinese

Strategies for the two students who need to be tested further for special needs

Use flash cards with pictures to explain Chinese words describing people.

Encourage students to present in the group about how, when, and where the Chinese words will be used

Use short animated cartoon videos in Edpuzzle to help them understand the two words

Use different pictures to encourage them to speck the words aloud.

Assessment

Break down the ten words goal in this lesson into two Chinese words, and give students more time to finish it.

The teacher will use the report from Edpuzzle to monitor the two students with special needs.

The other quiz will be used to test how they learned about the 10 Chinese words.

The teacher will observe the five students and note if they understand every word.
