Human Impacts
Factories
pollution
land expansion- dumping sand and gravel into the ocean to expand and build more infrastructure
destruction of the rivers, seas, death of fishes
factories- dump rubbish or chemicals into the ocean/river
death of fishes- fishes could accidentally eat rubbish or absorb chemicals, which would kill them. If an entire river is filled with chemicals, than most of the fishes in rivers would die
polluted waters- color of the waters turn greenish-gray
smelly environment- pollution causes the air outside to become more stinky. This is bad for the human body
ozone layer becomes more thin- this leads to hotter temperatures around the world as the ozone layer that protects the earth from sunlight will get thinner and thinner
temperature increase- global warming causes the temperature to slowly increase. This means that places will get hotter, and ice in the artic will melt, causing sea level rise, which can flood certain parts of the world
smelly environment- pollution causes the air outside to become more stinky. This is bad for the human body
acid rain
cause destruction
statues- acid rain causes parts of the stone carving to come off, forming a smooth serviceon the rocks. This would definitly ruin statues or cavings
houses/roofs- if the roof is poorly made, acid rain could slowly weaken and destroy roofs, allowing rain to poor into the house. This would be bad for the people inside, as acid rain might burn your skin
poisoning of animals- animals that live in the wild without shelter will be injured by acid rain. Their skins could be burned so much that they could die. Acid rain also ruins the animals environment as most of the plants and leaves will be destroyed.
deforestation
less photosynthisis
doesn't absorb carbon dioxide
habitat destruction
smelly environment- pollution causes the air outside to become more stinky. This is bad for the human body
c02 trapped in the world- This is a major problem because it acts as a "greenhouse gas", floating around the earth's atmosphere. Carbon dioxide absorbs and emits radiation, which warms the Earth's surface and the lower levels of the atmosphere.
plants don't grow as much
extinction of animals- When forests are chopped down, animals living there will lose their homes
Due to pollution, skys will most likely turn grayish black, causing a large fog across the entire city.
mining
resources on land
resources in sea
oil
rare earth materials
landslides- stones, rocks, debries, sand and dirt quickly slide off a mountain, crushing everything below it.
air pollution from chemicals
destruction of habitats
fracking
ruins landscapes
oil spill will ruin the sea- parts of the ocean will be covered with black oil if an oil spillage happens. This would not only damage the ocean, but also kill thousands of fishes living nearby. Oil spillage can also kill corals or impede their reproduction, growth, behavior, and development.
oil will eventually run out- oil isn't an infinite resource, one day oil will eventually run out from this world. Humans should start using wind or solar energy to protect the environment.
Die- Once they leave their natural habitat, they will most likely die due to lack of resources and food they once had in that area. When all of their species die out, it will break the chain of cycle, which will in turn kill their predators, and the animsl they eat will overgrow
Poaching- In less economically developed countries where poaching is allowed, once animals go out to open areas, they could possibly get killed by hunters
example: aberfan- coal mining village in the Southern Wales. Catastrophic collapse of a colliery spoil tip on 21 October 1966. Rocks, sand, dirt, and debris slid down the mountain and destroyed a school and other houses. 144 people died in the disaster, 116 were children, mostly between the ages of 7 and 10, and 28 adults
