GEOGRAPHY CH3, Sea caves: When the sea waves erode the coastal rocks…
GEOGRAPHY CH3
The lithosphere is broken down into several plates called lithospheric plates. These plates move only a few millimetres every year. These actions cause endogenic and exogenic forces.
Endogenic: These forces act in the interior of the Earth, and these forces cause Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
Earthquake: When the lithospheric plates move, the surface of the Earth vibrates, causing an earthquake.
-
Erosion: The wearing away of the landscape by different agents like wind, water, and ice
Deposition: The eroded material is carried away by wind, water, and ice.
-
-
Glacial morains: The material carried by glaciers - rocks (big an small), sand, silt etc.
