ASSESSMENT: conversations with student, positive self-talk interview (I am allowed to feel what I feel).
NEXT STEPS: Positive self-talk: I am allowed to feel what I feel. Sometimes, the way I react to my feelings is expected (e.g. happy - smiling, sad - crying, mad - taking a break) and makes people feel comfortable; and sometimes it's unexpected and makes people around me feel uncomfortable (e.g. happy - touching people a lot, sad - screaming, mad - hitting).

ASSESSMENT: Drawing of self (I am unique), observations during centers (pencil grip, ability to form shapes)

LEARNING OUTCOMES: explores the environment, what do living things need to live?, measurement: capacity, how much water they need
NEXT STEPS: Compare what plants need to live to humans, then to the other animals we study throughout the year

LEARNING OUTCOMES: Naming the letters of the alphabet (uppercase and lowercase matching), identifying numeral names, counting with one-to-one correspondence
ASSESSMENT: observations during centers, can later become a part of the teacher center (e.g. for the EYE)
