What music therapy is
Music is a combination of tune, rhythm, pitch and melody and music is a way fo life
Therapy is helping someone in a certain way
Using music to help certain elements (physical, social, psychological, environmental) of a person and establishing a relationship with the person
Using the therapeutic tools of music to establish a relationship between a client and therapist to cater to their situation/ condition
Music is related to the physical, social, and emotional well-being of a person
Effect of music on a person
There are different kinds of psychosomatic disorders within different people and each person has a different emotion related to music
Same song which makes one feel happy can make another person feel sad
the effect of music on a person is personalized and subjective based on their emotional state
How music allows for emotional, psychological, and physiological well-being
Main cause of depression is psychological and when you tackle the psychological illness, you take the person out of their depression
To help a person with depression you need to help them by playing a piece and making them listen to each and every note
Then, the patient must reproduce the note you played to them and this makes music more therapeutic through experiential and experimental analysis
Based on the emotional state and sense of perception, you use music to address those causes such as playing fast rhythmic song to uplift a person's mood
Some people prefer to listen to sad music with a sad tune or rhythm whcih generally makes the person feel safer but allows them to release their emotions
How music has helped people with depression
There have been many positive effects with people diagnosed with depression especially with children and old age people who are the ones who will be faced with a lot of anxiety
With the use of Carnatic music, you can play songs based on the person's feelings (individualistic) to help people that are bipolar

Great use of rhythm, tempo, pitch, and melody used within the music to help people come out of their anxiety they are faced with
Effect of rhythm on human emotion
Emotions felt out of alteration of rhythm is subjective and individualistic
Generally, when a slow rhythmic piece is played, it makes you feel mellowed down
There is a different level of perception for different people when it comes to different elements in music
More heavy beats lead to increased activity within the body and you can use a faster rhythm to make a person's slow heart rate beat faster
Effect of pitch on human emotion
Higher notes are associated with happier tunes
When the pitch is lower, the song sounds somber and sorrowful
Higher pitch is associated with faster rhythm
