Activity 11.1
'Centralised' 
This means that one large section rather than several smaller, separate sections provide the service.
Centralised filing means that all of the records of a business are kept in one place (see Figure 11.1).

It is under the control of one section, which is responsible for providing the service throughout the organisation.
Centralised filing systems are generally found in organisations where various departments need access to the same files.
