This self - correcting malocclusion is seen around 8 to 11 years of age
This condition corrects itself after the canines have erupted.
This is called as ugly duckling stage or Broadbent phenomenon.
As the permanent maxillary lateral incisors mesially.This force is transmitted to the central incisors and their roots are also displaced mesially.
