HENRY FORD
Born in 1863, in Dearborn
His father wanted him become a farmer
At 16, he left his home (Detroit)
Worked for various employers and learning about mechanics
Father's influence strong
Ford returned at the age of 23 to Dearborn
Married and settle down on the farm
It was short, after 2 years he was back in Detroit
Job with the Edison illuminating Company
1892- 1st automobile
Ford having studied design
His first hand-built car in 1896
1899-three automobiles
1900- he helped to found first car company, which failed within a year
Increase production- cost of car would fall
1907- first "Model T"- Ford's factory
1912- moving production line
vehicles were moved instead of workers
He achieved his ambitions
1927-16 million Model T's had been built
