    - - Efectricity is generated as a result of two combined cycles, a cycle that uses air and gas, and a conventional thermal cycle
      - This type of power plant performs better than those with only one cycle
  - - - It has wind turbines, and it uses the force of wind to make energy
    - - Uses the energy from the sun. There are two types:
        
        Photo-thermal
        
        The heat generated by solar radiation produces steam that is used to move the rotor in the generator.
        
        Photovoltaic power plant:
        
        Solar radiation is transformed directly into electricity by panels of photovoltaic cells.
    - - Use the heat found at deep levels in the earth. Geothermal energy may be use directly or indirectly.
    - - Biomass Is subjected to different physical and chemical processes to produce fuel. They may come from:
        
        1: Forestry and agricultural waste; 2: Specific crops; 3: Waste from agri-food industries
    - - Uses the energy from seas and oceans. It has three types of energy:
        
        1: The mechanical energy from the tides; 2: The mechanical energy from waves; 3: The energy from the ocean's thermal gradient.

    - - Large hydroelectric power plants requires a lot of water.
      - Thermal power plants cause air pollution and uses a lot of water.
      - Nuclear power plants produces radiation
    - - The fuels pollute the air.
