Disadvantages
The amount of fuel produced from waste is limited to the amount of waste prodfuced. Therefore may be promoting landfill/ wastes.
Large areas of farm land are being used for biofules rather then needed food production. This may also promote habitat loss.

Features
Biofuels are fuels which are made from recently photosythesised matter such as vegetable oils. They can be made on purpose or be made from wastes.
Crops include: Wood, combustiable plants (grasses, willow), alcohol from carbohydrates, biodiesel from vegetable oils.
Wastes include: Mathane from anaerobic respiration, combustible wastes such as straw, incinerration of domestic refuse, landfill biogas.
Restraints
Location
They have the same restaraints as arable crops as they need fertitle soils and suitabvle weather conditions. However biofules can also come from waste sources which may be landfill sites or forests or agricultural lands.
Environmental Impacts
Biofules that are a part of agricultural lands can cause habitiat loss, fertiliser use or irrigation water systems. Machinerary is also used in the production and harvesting.
New Techonolgy
Some algae produce hydrogen during photosythesis if deprived of sulfur and so may then be used for fuel.
