water insecurity - Coggle Diagram

- - - - physical impacts will include how a country is situated geographically.
        
        for example if a country is landlocked and does not have access to clean freshwater.
    - - human factors may include poor treatment of water. ie polluting the natural fresh water source.
        
        there could also not be enough money to purify the water source.
- - - - for example the agricultural industry relies in clean water to grow its crops. this means if there is an insecurity where drinking water is prioritised it can be difficult to keep crops and a hunger problem may ensue.
    - - for example california is a very well developed area but suffers from a lack of water a lot. there is often a water crisis that has minor costs to peoples lives. ie not being able to have a shower.
        
        this is a political issue as there is plenty of water in other states they are just unwilling to give it to california.
        
        this water insecurity often leads to drought.
