What is function?
By definition, a function is a correspondence, or rule, that pairs each element of a set (the domain) with exactly one element of another set (the range).
There are so many kinds of functions today that can be studied at various levels: linear, quadratic, polynomial, constant, trigonometric, logarithmic and many more.
-
- Every element in the domain is related with an element in the range.
- Any element in the domain must be related to only one element in the range.
