CARBONHYDRATES - Coggle Diagram
CARBONHYDRATES
SIMPLE
All carbonhydrates are made up of units of sugar. Carbonhydrates that contain only one sugar unit (monosaccharides) or two sugar units (disaaccharides) are reffered to as simple sugars.
Monosaccharides

water soluable ,collerless

Disaccharides
The sugar formed when two monosaccharides are joined by glycosid linkage.Simpliest sugars like monosaccharides.

COMPLEX
Complex carbonhydrates are polymers of the simple sugars. In othr words, the complex carbonhydrates are long chains of simple sugar units bonded together.
Polysaccharides
The most abundant carbonhydrate found in food. They are long-chain polymeric carbonhydrates composed of monosaccharide units bound together by glycodicid linkages.
