My Purdue Experience - the First Four Month
What I like
English class
Pat really teach us a lot and I learn so many I can tell that I've improved so I really appreciate that and we get candy every class, well to get to Purdue the English ability is pretty important, and I believe after three years of Pat's class we will be good enough to get to Purdue.
lunch
lunch at every Friday is so delicious I still likes Friday gathering, I wonder if the Wednesday gathering will provide dinner.
classmate
the last thing that I love is to meet people related to this program, like what Victoria said last week, professor take care of us, Waili and Phoebe take care of us and we have a great teacher that other students don't have and classmates! It's so nice to be with you guys. It's my pleasure to be a part of the program and Thank you and Happy new year!
not that good
no credit
every weeks we spend 6 extra hours for English class and Friday gathering but we don't get any credit, well I know these can help us but we need lot of credit to graduate, and some courses I'm interested in may be a conflict of time with English class or Friday gathering so I can't sign up for that course
and... I heard Friday gathering Wednesday gathering next semester will be admitted as a general course, thanks for that change, it really helps a lot.
Friday Gathering
kind of waste of time
freshman, doesn't have enough professional knowledges
so maybe we don't have to spend that much time on it.
most of the professors, speakers share their study experience and work experience
interesting to know what professor has went through
sound repetitive
solution
Before semester begins, Waili sent us an email, and it said that we only have to go to the Friday gathering 5 times but it turns out to be once every week maybe 5 times is too less, In my opinion once every two weeks is better.
tuition
the tuition is really expensive and we don't know where the money goes
I remember at first or second time Friday gathering, Ben asked professor this question where the money goes and professor said that most of the money is personnel expenses, so maybe if the friday gathering held once every two weeks, tuition can be cheaper.
