What’s important for you to record?
the way in which the neighbourhood has changed i.e. transport, roads, pedestrian crossings
bicycle routes, walking routes, shortcuts where cars cannot go, through parks and green spaces etc.
biking or bussing to the library is too far for us oldies
everything ordinary, routine, daily lives, clothing recipes…the 'small things', conversations,
people’s life stories
soundscapes of birds, trains, traffic, church bells, voices, language
children as they're growing up, who knows who they are, backgrounds
the people’s history, who lived - personal recollections of shared stories by the old people who had lived here for a long time.
family life of your era
tips of life e.g. cooking and health tips
that technology we used and how it has changed in our lifetime
interesting events and discoveries that happened from the time I moved into my house in 1987
special events e.g. fairs, concerts in churches
the Addington Farm, Sallies Church, The Addington Haven
