Parental Involvement
Inform parents of strategies used in school and encourage them to use these at home
Gain understanding of students behavior, strengths weaknesses and interests at home
Inform parents on what and how the child is learning in order to extend educational support at home
Share results of progress - assessment outcomes and observations
Research and share learning strategies to help the child and inform parents to increase understanding
Introduce a communication journal for use at home and school to monitor students progress at home and school

Understanding of family situation or additional information about the student - previous schooling ect
Agree on strategy to assist student in order to maintain consistency throughout the day
