MakerSpace and Engagement: What is the Connection?
Allows students to drive their own learning. With tools they might not usually have access too.
When students have the chance to play and create, they are naturally self-engaged.
Students get to learn and create in a way that is exciting for them. They are in charge of their own learning and work.
The space and its setup also allows for collaboration. Even though the virtual reality experience was really only able to be "felt" by one, I was still hearing suggestions from my peers about what I could create. We were giving each other feedback. AND when I was first given the controls and had no idea how to use the VR, my peers were the ones showing me how.
