Fixed Mindset

Growth Mindset

Believe intelligence can be exercised and be gain through determination and percistance

Believe your brain or intelligence gets stronger the more you use it

They accept mistakes and learn from them

Don't see failures as setbacks they see them as going forward and trying something new

Believe your born with specific amount of intelligence

When it come to school they believe they either got it or they don't

They feel threaten when others do better than them

Dislike challenges due them having the fear to losing their intelligence

Failures scare them

How to Develop a Growth Mindset

Think of your brain as a muscle

The more you use your brain the "smarter" you become

Neuroplasticity is the ability in your brain to recall new experiences and use it

Set Learning goals... as well as performance Goals

a Learning goal is when you set out to acquire new information in a topic

A learning goal also needs to have a set place and time

A Performance goal is when you want achieve some thing like a certain grade or diploma

Seek Feedback

Feed back people with growth mindset to see their errors and correct them

a Fixed mindset may not like the criticism and throw the advice away

Feedback may also help the person to seek help from the professor so they can improve
