Personal Tips
Taking Impressions
- If you see alginate having potholes, too dry, more water should be smooth
- Rly use the corner of the [U and the handle] of the tray (that precise point) to rotate into the mouth
- Gently seat the back first then > Use other hand's fingers to lift the lip up (This will allow the material to flow unobstructed to capture the frenum, if lip down, material got resistence cannot flow as well)
- Only then after lifting lip, seat the front
- Gently seat both front and back evenly until you see the noodly pasta flowing out nice and long (if you don't see it, your material probs a bit dry or u never press hard enough)
-
- Gently use 2 fingers and run them through the space between the cheek and the gums (This will release some air and vacuum easier to take out)
- Gently angulate the tray such that you release / push down the back portion of the tray but not the front
- Should be easy to pop out without much force
*If patient's mouth seems big, just change to bigger tray cause more margin for error. Ask Dr if he think big. If he suggest wax, just take bigger tray, wax hard to clean and bigger tray is even better

After getting MI and Protrusion, note down CO with one color, then test for laterotrusion, shave to achieve laterotrusion (but try to avoid the contact points of MI and Protrusion, unless its on non working side)
