Quick and easy to use (no storage probs, long shelf life (2yrs)
May avoid many of the problems of continuing transfusion (hypothermia, acid/base, volume overload)
No human blood products used in manufacture (No risk infectious disease transmission, ok to use Jehovas Witness)
