Socialization: reinforcements (acceptance/ approval), modeling, punishment (rejection/ exclusion), and apprenticeship
Developmental Tasks: getting along, developing morals and values, socio-culture rules [gender roles, sex education, sexual activity], achieving personal independence and identy
Groups are structured by adults, also providing values, rules, leadership and mediation
