Food Portions: It is good to create a plan for how much you eat and in what portions. Here are some tips for eating food in good sizes.

When eating dinner, half of your plate should be vegetables, salads and or fruits. 1/4 of your plate should have meat, eating too much meat will be unhealthy(especially eating red meat).
Lastly, 1/4 of your plate should be full of starchy foods, like bread, pasta, rice, beans, and potatoes.

You should drink about 2 liters of water a day because the body is constantly losing water. Drinking water will keep you hydrated and healthy.

Calories are what gives us energy, so it is alright, however eating too much could lead to obesity and overweight so watch how much calories you eat!
Teenagers should consume about 50 to 70 grams of fat daily. People should watch out for unhealthy fat like saturated fat and trans fat. Most trans fat is found in baked goods, to cut down the fat, you can add less butter. Read the nutritional labels on food packages to see how much fat the product contains
Cholesterol is a wax like substance that can be good for our bodies when consumed in little amounts, eating too much could lead to various problems like heart disease and stroke.
Sodium is basically salt. It is good for you but when eaten in large amounts it can cause serious damage to your body
There are various types of vitamins and all of them are beneficial for your body. The food label on product packages should show what vitamins the product contains.

Protein helps your body grow, and strengthens your bones and muscles.
Fats are stored and are used when needed, it also protects our organs and insulate us.
Sugars are energy sources that are much faster to break down than protein and fats. Sugars are the preferred fuel for our body (I personally like sugar too).

Type one diabetes- Where pancreas does not produce enough or no insulin.
Increased thirst, frequent urination, hunger, fatigue and blurred vision. It can cause problems like heart disease, kidney failure, stroke etc.
Type two diabetes- Affects the way the body processes blood sugar. The symptoms are the same as type one diabetes but sometimes, there are no symptoms shown.
High blood pressure- Where the blood against the artery wall is too high. Often, there are no symptoms shown, and if it's not treated for a long period of time, it can cause heart disease and stroke.
These are only some of the disease caused by being overweight, you could even get some types of cancer if you don't exercise and look after your body. Eat healthy and look after yourself so you won't get these diseases.

Eat too much of any junk food, sugary drinks and sweet lollies and candy will make you sick and unhealthy, it could lead to something as serious as diabetes and even some types of cancer!
