Box 02) Differences between सुषुप्ति and निर्विकल्प समाधि
1) In deep sleep -सुषुप्ति, अन्तःकरण ie., mind goes into or merges into the कारण शरीर, also known as प्रकृति; ie., mind goes into its स्वरुप लय.
2) In this state, there is only 'ignorance-अज्ञानं, which is also known as प्रलय अवस्था.
03) As against this, in असंप्रज्ञात समाधि or निर्विकल्प समाधि, the mind attains the state of 'No-Mind' - अमनीय भाव - मनो नाश. In this state, the mind remains in the state of 'Thought-less-ness'- मनो-वृत्ति हीन. 04) In असंप्रज्ञात समाधि or निर्विकल्प समाधि, the mind -चित्त becomes one with चित् - Consciousness. In deep sleep, the mind goes into or merges into the कारण शरीर, also known as प्रकृति;
05) In सुषुप्ति, there is अग्रहणम् -'non-apprehension' of Truth or reality. But, in निर्बीज समाधि - निर्विकल्प समाधि - असंप्रज्ञात समाधि, there are no 'miss-apprehension' and 'non-apprehension'. ie., अन्यता ग्रहणम् and अग्रहणम् are absent.
06) While deep sleep comes regularly, daily and sometimes occasionally, to everyone, both ज्ञानि and अज्ञानी, an अज्ञानी has to go through various stages of योग and intense अभ्यास at each stage till it is perfected. The culmination of all these practices of stages of yoga, after many many years or even births, leads one to the the final stage of निर्विकल्प समाधि-असंप्र्ज्ञात समाधि -निर्बीज समाधि.
07) Deep sleep cannot remove bondage -क्लेश which is present in the waking state of an अज्ञानि.
Whereas निर्बीज समाधि - निर्विकल्प समाधि - असंप्रज्ञात समाधि, removes bondage -क्लेश present in the waking state of a ज्ञानि.
