An animal that is being hunted and eaten by another animal
What is a predator?
An animal that hunts and eats other animals

Example: Grass(food producer)-Grasshopper(plant-eater)-Lizard(animal-eater)
Food chains always begin with a producer
Plants change light energy into chemical potential energy stored in the food they make
The energy is passed on to the consumers who eat plants and then the consumers who eat other animals
