Research in Japan proves that creating laws can reduce food waste by forcing people to become more aware of what and how much they purchase and what exactly they do with their food remains.

Unlike other methods, educating people on food waste can be done on a global scale more easily.
Several countries have different methods that work, some better than others, but I am sure all can agree education is power and education is knowledge.
Advertisements and social media are everywhere, but by using these to promote the issue of food waste, it would bring attention to the issue

People are watching the chefs use scraps of food to make marvelous meals instead of sitting through an educational speech or class.
These restaurants can make people's perceptin on what is food waste and what is not change qutie quickly and if more of these restaurants were around the world, food waste could be drastically reduced

Food Wastes' Environmental Impact
Overproduction leads to more food waste ending up in our environment and it will only get worse.
A study shows that a lot of excess food that we produce goes into the trash isntead of using it to feed people who actually need it.
This is a problem because more greenhouse gasses are being emitted into the air which harms peoples quality of life.

If we focus on the ways in which food waste can be minimized or prevented rather than emphasizing what causes it, a step in the right direction towards a positive future is more likely.

if more studies, like this one, are applied across the globe, more people would become aware of their actions and purchase less food.
These types of studies also emphasize that larger companies and restaurants are not the sole issue; that individuals are a large cause of food loss as well.
