Coffey (1993) MRI scan compare volume of grey matter of frontal lobe in patients depression and non-depressed control. Depressed patients had smaller volume grey compared to without depression. Milo (2001) PET scans measure levels of activity in frontal lobe without/with depression, people with depression lower levels of activity in frontal lobe.
