Introduction
C spine injury suspected in any patient with multisystem trauma, esp. those with altered GCS or blunt injury above the clavicle

Ix to confirm or exclude injury are only performed once life-threatening conditions have been addressed
Conscious patient
Lateral cervical XR may be performed as part of the initial trauma screen, but this film should not be used to clear C spine
