Rules of a debate

Definitions: explain how the affirmative party undertand the resolution and what they want to discuss.
Burden of proof: the affirmative party must prove the resolution hold true in persuasive number of cases.
Who wins the debate: the affirmative party wins if upheld the basis of argumentation.The negative party does not have to necessarily disagree with the affirmative party, as long as it proves the invalidity of the conclusion delivered in the process.
Impromtu debate: improptu motions shall be announce 60 minnutes prior to debate. Both teams receive the resolution at the same time.
Preparation time
Affirmative team has the right to take 5 minutes and the negative 7 minutes for preparation between individual presentations.
