- Davies shared a false account of the events that took place during a situation that left four American diplomats dead.
News reported during an interview with Dylan Davies conducted by Lara Logan, of “60 Minutes”.

- In gathering information Lara Logan and her associates must have over looked the information contained in the FBI report.
- I do not credit the lack of ethic principles to Logan or CBS but rather to the source of the information. (Davies)
- In handling the correction of the report CBS and Lara Logan did not use a green light approach. They were shook by the level of seriousness connected to the incorrect information that had been reported.
- Logan led the interview based on the responses given by Davies and trusted that he was being truthful.
- Davies lied. Even if Logan and her associates had done all of the correct research, Davies could have said whatever he wanted to when the cameras started rolling.

- I gather global news from a variety of sources. Every story is a journalists attempt to collect information. Misinformation is everywhere.
- The author of “”60 Minutes” and the Benghazi Scandal Trap” Amy Davidson Sorkin has a very strong opinion against CBS and their misinformed report.
She also speaks about how “full of absurdities” the Benghazi scandal was. Everything even when a matter of fact is a matter of opinion.
How could using a balance in research and reporting tactics have made a difference in the outcome of what was reported
- Even in the events reported in this article about the false reports are another person’s account of the situation that took place.
- Using balance in research and reporting Logan would have been better prepared to pull the correct information to light.
- I feel that Logan should have been as firm as possible in her knowledge of the events and Davies involvement in those events before using him as a credible witness.
- In this instance the research was not as heavily weighted as the report. In correcting the information Logan and CBS could have taken steps to regain their credibility as a source as well as clearing up the events that were reported and Davies involvement in those reports.
