Unit 4
Cartesian Plane
Scatter Plots
Quadrants
Co-ordinates
Relationships
Vertical co-ordinates are on the X-axis
Horizontal Co-ordinates are on the Y-axis
There are 4 quadrants on a graph
The origin is where the x and y co-ordinates start
II and III are negative quadrants, whereas I and IV are positive
X and Y axis must be labelled, along with a title
Plotted points can sometimes be correlated
Line of Best Fit
Negative correlation goes down, positive correlation goes up
Drawing a line across a graph showing correlation, going through the majority of points
Interpolation/Extrapolation
Interpolation is when you estimate within results
Extrapolation is when you estimate outside of results
