EMS Café Module
2 major functions:

automate processing, accounting and reporting of embossed plastic cards

For selecting cards and performing operations to them in Café, “Barcode mode” should be available. User should use USB Barcode scanner which should read Barcodes on cards’ or PINs’ envelopes and pass <Barcode> to user’s host (same as typing on keyboard).

Cafe Cards transfer
Cafe Cards transfer operations accounts for physical movement of embossed cards from one Location (Stock) to another. There should be 2 ways to perform Cafe Cards transfer in EMS:
Automated transfer – user at receiving Stock uploads hand-off file of specified format with all the embossed cards transferred
Manual transfer – authorised user at sending Stock should select available Cafe Cards in user interface and then perform required actions as described below

Cafe Cards destruction
Cafe Cards destruction process accounts for physical destruction of Embossed Cards by bank managers on some purpose. The process should be initiated and handled by Cafe user at same Location Cafe Card is attached to.
Only Cafe Cards located at Stock can be destroyed, users should not be able to destroy Rosan Cafe Cards until they are acknowledged at Stock. Operation can be initiated by user at same location as Cafe Cards are at.
Cafe cards loss and acknowledge
Embossed cards can accidently be lost before passing to customer which should be accounted in EMS Cafe. Such Cafe Cards get Tracking Status “Lost”.
Only Cafe Cards located at Stock or Courier can be lost, users should not be able to lose Rosan Cafe Cards until they are acknowledged at Stock (see below). Operation can be initiated by user at same location as Cafe Cards are at.
Cafe Cards customer pick-up
Cafe Cards customer pick-up operation accounts for Cards been taken by customer from bank front-office.
Cafe Cards courier delivery
Courier delivery is one of the ways of delivering embossed cards to clients alongside Customer Pick Up. In this case embossed cards are passed to the courier, who either successfully delivers them to clients or fails, which he should account for in Courier report.
