EMS Main module (Off-line Records processing - Off-line cards processing…
EMS Main module
Off-line Records processing - Off-line cards processing is a regular way of processing cards data, embossing and dispatching cards, which is usually processed within several banking days. Off-line cards data is periodically sent from Citi Singapore (or UCS vendor in case of MIR cards) in hand-off files (Input Files).
Processing
By user command, EMS Service should check new Input files available in secure folders on server. Service should automatically define, what kind of data is in each file by its mask
User should see available files, choose needed files and change parsing rules presets (layouts) for each file if needed
By user command, Service should check the chosen files, parse them and store data from them in EMS internal table as Raw cards data. After parsing, input files should be moved to archive folder
After new data was uploaded to EMS, EMS should perform data consistency checks and create Records with required statuses
Users should view records, reject / cancel reject when needed, edit certain Records fields, update Image Data and other dictionaries and initiate data recheck
By user command, EMS should recheck the Records selected by the user and set new statuses in accordance

1.Input Files upload
1.2By file mask, Service should define the following parameters (according to Input File dictionary):

-
1.3.After Service uploaded all the Input Files available and defined their parameters, EMS user should see the files and change Input Layouts if needed. After that users should choose the files needed and initiate parsing. Users should be able to automatically choose the required types of input files according to Upload Profiles.
1.1By user command, Service should check what files are available in secure folders. User should be able to define secure folders for Input Files upload: certain folder for each file mask. Service should only upload those files, which masks were defined by users in Input Files dictionary.

3. Records data checks and statuses setting - EMS should automatically perform cards data checks. Generally, EMS will check the following issues:
Was all the required Input Files (Source/Café) uploaded for the Record? If no, the Record is Incomplete
Are crucial fields available and not empty? If no, the Record is Bad
Are important field available in EMS dictionaries? If no, the Record is Incorrect
In case of an error, EMS should mark it in 2 ways:
add corresponding Record status
add Error notes to Record as required
In case all the checks above are OK, record with status “Pending” is created and no error notes are added.
Records for cards to be embossed in Rosan system (i.e. those with Card Types checked “Processed” in Card types dictionary) should automatically be created with status “Approved” in case all status checks are OK. EMS Cards should automatically be created from such Records.
4.EMS Records - Records are electronic documents in EMS that contain cards data. Record is an intermediary document needed for checking and approval procedures. It can’t be embossed; a Card document is generated from Record for further processing (embossing and dispatching)
Process:.
4.3 EMS should check the data, calculate additional fields and generate records with correct statuses
4.4 Users should check EMS Records, edit statuses, initiate rechecks if needed and approve the Record when possible
-
4.5 By user command EMS should automatically generate Cards from approved records. Priority Pass card should be generated as a clone of the main card when required. Processed Priority Pass cards clones can be generated by users

3.Cards statuses and processing
All the newly created cards automatically café status “Available for processing”. Users can manually set “Rejected” status and cancel the “Rejected”. When rejecting user should enter a reason for reject, that should be saved in EMS internal tables for logging purposes. “Rejected” Cards are not subjects for further processing.
Processed
Status of Cards that were successfully embossed. EMS Cards get this status when EMS Emboss Job is finalized
Damaged
Cards that were damaged during embossing / were not successfully embossed. Set in Emboss module
