The South Eastern Region
South East Asia

Climate and Nature
The climate in Southeast Asia is mainly tropical–hot and humid all year round with plentiful rainfall.
Northern Vietnam and the Myanmar Himalayas are the only regions in Southeast Asia that feature a subtropical climate, which has a cold winter with snow.
It is rich in natural resources, such as petroleum, forests, fish, water, rice, copper and silver.

Cultures and Groups
Mainland Southeast Asia has been termed the "crossroad of religions,"
Today divided into the countries of Burma, Thailand, and Laos, Cambodia (Kampuchea), and Vietnam
A large diversity of autochthonous tribal religions are intermingled with Hinduism, Theravāda and Mahāyāna Buddhism, Daoism, Confucianism, Islam, and Christianity, as well as the modern secular faith of Marxist-Leninism.
Importance of Region
This region is very popular for tourists, since it has beautiful nature and a tropical climate

Oceania
-
Cultures and Groups
Oceania is the sixth-most-populous continent (39,901,000) in the world.
-
-
Indigenous cultures shaped, and were shaped by, the geography of Australia and Oceania.
Mission influence spread swiftly throughout Oceania, and today the majority of people in the region profess to be Christian.
Some religious movements arose in opposition to Christianity. The so-called nativistic movements offered an alternative to the Christian denominations and even to the traditional religion.
Climate and Nature
The climate of Oceania's islands is tropical or subtropical, and range from humid to seasonally dry.
-
Oceania is composed mostly of volcanic high islands and Coral atolls that arose from the sea in geologically recent times.
Because the islands of Oceania have never been connected by land to a continent, the flora and fauna of the islands have all reached the islands via the ocean.
Physical Situation
-
Australia, Zealandia, and New Guinea are continental islands.

Antarctica

Cultures and Groups
Antartica has an official population of 0, although some scientists do visit for research purposes

Importance of Region
Antarctica is important for science because of its profound effect on the Earth's climate and ocean systems.
Scientists from all over the world visit Antarctica to study the climate, weather, geology, and wildlife of this unique region
Their research has helped to highlight global problems, such as climate change.
My Place (Ukraine)
-
The National Antarctic Scientific Center is the Ukrainian public body formed in 1993 responsible for coordination, managing and executing Ukrainian activities in Antarctica
-
The main research topics of the Ukrainian Antarctic Program include geology, geophysics, hydrometeorology, oceanography, biology, medico-physiological and geospace research
