        non-restrictive (non-defining or descriptive) - doesn't restrict, gives additional information about antecedent, can be left out, often separated by a comma. Can be introduced by relative pronouns (who, which), relative adverbs (where, when). Almost always syndetically. (In this room, which was never used, a light was burning. Katy turned to a person, who was near her)
      - appositive - disclose antecedent's meaning (The reason, why she did it, is still unknown)
        
        only syndetic connection, abstract antecedent, no comma. Introduced by conj (that, whether), adverbs (how, why).
