Marketing 4Ps
Product:
Intels products are the best that people can currently buy and they supply to manufacturers like Dell, Apple. Inc, HP, Lenovo. They're processors are almost the only processors available for consumers to buy and they are simple and work well.
Price: They are almost impossible to compete against with a 90% market share in its market and can set prices however they want.
Promotion Intel stickers are some of the most well known brand symbols as they come on almost every prebuilt computer of intel product.
Place:Intel operates around the world and its products can easily bought at most electronics stores as virtually all prebuilt computers utilize Intel processors and most processors available for sale are Intel ones
Production
Intel produces most of its wafers in the US especially in Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico, Chengdu and Ireland.
Research and development in 2017 was 13.1 billion dollars which saves Intel money on manufacturing costs and improves products to have smaller transistors going from 14 nm to 10 nm to 7nm.
Product life cycle: Intel 8th generation processors were released upgrading from the companies 7th generation product from last year which had reached maturity. These new processors were around 10% faster and more efficient and used smaller transistors.
Intel needed to produce and research a product to satisfy consumers need for an affordable personal computer as well as companies who need high performance systems.
Intel turns sand which is silicone into wafers which are then smoothed and flattened perfectly before transistors are made with UV light to make the microprocessors. Intel then tests the chips and makes sure the quality is good.
Ethics
Intel invested more than $145 million in energy-conservation projects saving 3.19 billion kWh of energy. This is something that Intel uses in its marketing to sell more chips that support Intels investments into renewable energy.
25% of Intel's operational space meets the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design gold standard.
