Thor, Loki, and a human travel together to the land of the giants. On the way they meet a giant larger than any they had ever seen. They travel with the giant for a number of days before parting. They arrive at the home of some giants, and begin to drink and partake in competition. They miserably lose every competition.It is later revealed that they were in fact being tricked the whole time. Rather than drink mead, Thor drank the ocean. Rather than race a real person, Thialfi races thought. Rather than have an eating contest with a real person, Loki had an eating contest with fire. After it is revealed that they were tricked, the giant runs off, never to be seen.
