        Ionic compounds must have a neutral charge overall so if an an ion H charged +1 forms an ionic compound with Sulfide ion charged -2 so in order to have a neutral compound 2+ need to cancel out 2 - so the ratio of ions must be 2:1
      - Atoms in a covalent are held together by electrostatic forces of attraction between positively charged nuclei and negatively charged shared electrons.,Since opposites attract, the same repeal
      - Positives and negatives must go with one another so if there is none of the other kind, it wont form an ionic compound
