Burgaw Middle School's Makerspace
3D Printing Station
This area will house a 3D printer, a computer with appropriate software, and supplies needed to print.
Chromebook Cart
Having a Chromebook cart will allow students to pull them as needed and use them for different purposes.
Digital Story Telling Bin (to be used in conjunction with Chromebook cart): This bin will contain external headphones with microphones and cameras to use while recording stories. It can be used with craft corner supplies to create a visual story telling experience.
In addition to the bin, Scratch will be installed on the Chromebooks. Scratch allows users to create their own interactive stories, animations and games.
Chromebooks can also be used for designing 3D printing plans and general research needed within the space.
Swag Station
Supplies in this station will include a button maker and needed supplies, a high quality color printer, a laser cutter, and a heat press. These supplies will allow us to create our own "swag", like buttons, t-shirts, and decals.
