The Positive and Negative Aspects of Globalization by Natalie, Merissa, Jensen and Boon Joon
Economic/Financial
Negative Aspects
-
The rich countries are richer, and the poor countries are getting poorer. This is because countries with successful companies are having other people to work for them/extract resources for them in other countries. The poor countries are getting poorer due to unfair wage or payment for resources.

Negative Aspects

Plastic bottles is a non-biodegradable object. Therefore, plastic is littered everywhere and make their way to the ocean.

Positive Aspects
With technology, poorer countries are able to learn new farming techniques and obtain new technology from globalization. This can lead to better crop production and management.
People can obtain products from foreign countries. This means that they get a variety of products; not just locally.

Culture (Social)
-
Positive Aspects
People are able to learn more about other cultures and languages. This means they would be able to communicate better with others as they would understand the way things are done in a certain culture and also know how to speak the language.
Example: English and Mandarin are two of the most spoken languages in the world. If people are able to speak these languages, then they would be able to communicate well with their business partners well all around the world. People who are multilingual can get jobs such as an interpreter/translator, they can earn a lot of money up to six figure salaries.
You can learn new things and values from other people all around the world. You can possibly apply to real life.
Negative Aspects
Destroys culture : Globalization is one of the main reasons for people having the same belief and customs all over the world. But globalization destroys local culture and makes the world more similar. Globalization will diminish the role of our culture locally and globally.
EX. the introduction of mcdonalds in Malaysia has led pretty much Malaysians to eat burgers rather than their cultural food. Globalization can cause many different problems with many different regions because not everyone has the same beliefs.
