Roojin Habibi is a Juris Doctor (J.D.) candidate at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. Before her legal studies, she specialized in global health, defending her Masters of Science thesis on comparative pharmaceutical regulation at McMaster University, Canada. Over the past six years, Ms. Habibi has collaborated extensively with scientists in Canada, Australia and France, publishing and contributing to peer review in law, health policy and medical journals. She has also worked as an advocate for the rights of women, low-income groups and people affected by HIV at NGOs in Canada and Namibia, and at the United Nations Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS. In her final year of legal studies, she is cross-specializing in transnational and international law at the University of Geneva.
