Time Signature Pre-Assessment
5 Students that understand the material very well
Worksheet where students are given the time signature and must fill in the measure with the appropriate amount of beats using notes and rests.
Play music in different time signatures on drum
Create a diagram showing what a time signature is
Worksheet where student writes in time signatures for measures that already have notes/rests.
Allow the student to be exposed to more complicated meters such as 6/8 if they understand 3/4, 2/4, 4/4

Provide worksheets where certain beats are missing. Students must fill in the missing information with the note or rest with the appropriate amount of beats.
