Dear Ms. Stone,
I think we should keep Chocolate Milk in the cafeteria because, kids get their essential nutrients such as Protein which helps build and repair your tissues. Chocolate milk also has Calcium which helps your muscles grow and be stronger, bigger, and tighter. Chocolate milk also includes Vitamin A which helps your vision, heart, lungs, kidney and other organs. Chocolate milk also has Vitamin D which promotes bone growth and absorbing calcium.
Another Reason why I would like to keep Chocolate milk is because, in the article WDA it states ¨research shows that when flavored milk is removed from the school cafeteria milk consumption is dropped by 30% which in America is 97,905,555 people¨! Also when you reformulate Chocolate milk it lowers the sugar and the calorie count. So if there are 3 Tsp of added sugar which is 12.6 grams the you could probably take away half so that is 6.3 grams left so that shows that sugar can be reduced and we could make things healthier. Which in chocolate milk sugar is not bad for you because it contains Lactose sugar which contains Glucose sugar which is actually the best sugar for you which makes it healthier Chocolate milk sugar is not bad for you because it contains Lactose sugar which contains Glucose sugar which is actually the best sugar for you which makes it healthier. What is Glucose Sugar and what is it made from? Glucose sugar is a sugar that is during made photosynthesis made from water and carbon dioxide using the energy from the sunlight and is a very good and important source for cellular respiration. Glucose is also stored as Polymer in plants and wildlife! What is Polymer? Polymer is a material that has a molecule like substance of entirely or a largely amount of units merged together. In addition Chocolate milk is only ¢25 so that makes it so there is 1,305,222,220 American Dollars saved every year on Chocolate Milk!
The last reason why I think the cafeteria should keep chocolate milk is because kids receive more nutrients than non-milk drinkers. For example ¨flavored milk is not fattening¨ because, there are only 3 Tsp of added sugar which is 12.6 grams of added sugar. Lastly (from the article MWDC) ¨Ms. Dobbins is a nutritionist and supports keeping flavored milk in the school cafeteria¨. What is a Nutritionist? A Nutritionist is a job where a person either studies or is an expert on nutrition. So if Ms. Dobbins is a nutritionist that means she is an expert on nutrition and I know this because if the article is for chocolate milk wouldn't they want and expert to show which is ¨the right choice¨. This is why I think we should keep flavored milk in the cafeteria.
