Norse Mythology By Neil Gaiman
Struggle of Universe
After Ymir's death, his body created the world. His blood the seawater, bones became the mountains. His flesh created the soil and his smaller bone fragments and teeth turned into sand and pebbles. The sky was created his skull. His eyelashes made up the Wall of Midgard.
When Fenris was in the unbreakable chain and the gods put a sword on his jaw so it could remain open forever. His saliva created a river that flowed into the dark lake.
End of Days
Ragnarok
Asgard will be gone, instead Idavoll will be there. Six will be left. Odin's sons Vidar, Vali. Thor's sons Modi and Magni, who will carry Mjollnir between them. Balder and Hod will return from the underworld. And they talked about the outcome of the world.
After fighting each other, Loki and Heimdall lay by each other and became cremated in Surtr’s flames.
Odin battles Fenrir, who swallows Odin whole and will never be seen again.
Vidar ripps Fenrir’s mouth apart, avenging his father.
Thor faces the Midgard serpent, after he smashes its head with his hammer, the venom falls onto him and he becomes poisoned.
At the end of the world everything is said to turn to chaos. An eternal winter, the betrayal of family and constant battles. The sun, sky, and moon will vanish. Darkness will fill the air. Snow will be driving from all directions causing you to ache when you breathe.
Creation
In the beginning there was only Niflheim, the dark world, 11 poisonous rivers, dragon Hvergelmir and Muspell was fire, no solid earth or sky
Surtr, who existed before the gods, stands between the two lands, where the mist and fire burn to light. He holds a flaming sword
Ask & Ash were created from logs on a beach and were called Embla & Elm. The first man and woman
Odin, Vili, and Ve were created from their father Bor. they were eternally stuck in Ginnungagap. In order to create more worlds they had to kill Ymir. "The death that made life possible" Soil came from Ymir's flesh. His bones were piled up to create mountains. From his teeth were rocks and pebbles and the fragments of bones that the 3 brothers crushed. The seas were Ymir's blood and sweat. The sky was the inside of his skull and the clouds were his brains.
Ymir was the father of all giants, one of two living things that formed by melting ice. The other was Audhumla, a hornless cow whose milk nourished him. Audhumla would lick other blocks of ice which revealed a whole man.
