    - - copper sulfate solution (1mol/dm3), powdered zinc, dilute sulfuric acid (1 mol/dm3), sodium hydrogen carbonate solution (1mol/dm3), citric acid solution (1mol/dm3). sodium carbonate solution (1mol/dm3), ethanoic acid solution (1mol/dm3), polystyrene cups, thermometer, 2x10cm3 measuring cylinders
    - - wear eye protection/safety goggles
      - take care when handling all the reactants, to keep them off your skin
    - - carry out reaction A-D in any order
        
        for each reaction put substance 1 into a polystyrene cup and record its temperature
        
        add substance 2 and stir the chemicals with the thermometer. Record the highest or lowest temperature
        
        wash the polystyrene cup and thermometer
        
        repeat with other mixtures of substances
        
        record all your results in a table
    - - most reactions give out heat
      - effective method of seeing whether its endo or exothermic - look at temp difference
      - useful in comparing how different endothermic reaction were -to identify mixture suitable for making a cold pack
      - experiment could be improved by using same mols for each chemicals & repeating for reliability
      - other reaction that takes in energy as it goes = photosynthesis
